We’re kickstarting the 2023 Air Jordan lineup with the Jordan 3-inspired Air Jordan 1 True Blue! The Jordan Brand has a thing for taking colorways from one model and applying it to another. We’ve seen it with the Taxi Jordan 12-inspired AJ1s. Or, the Jordan 13-inspired Court Purple 1s. This particular Jordan colorway takes inspiration from the classic OG True Blue 3s. So, borrowing color schemes is nothing out of the ordinary!
Also, this is probably the brand’s way of honoring the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3 coming this year. And, what better way to honor an anniversary than with an all-new Air Jordan 1 release? The January Jordan release list is nothing short of AWESOME. Definitely a great way to start the year! And so, this adaptation of the True Blue colorway is the perfect cop!

AIR JORDAN 1 TRUE BLUE
So, we’re into address jigging but the Jordan Brand is into colorway jigging! And, although we love our Jordan retros, this is NEXT-LEVEL! The Air Jordan 1 True Blue comes with the traditional features of the OG Jordan 3. And so, the majority of the color scheme for these Js consists of the True Blue colorway!
The Air Jordan 1 True Blue features blue overlays all throughout the sneakers. In other words, we’ve got blue mudguards, blue shoelace overlays, and blue Swooshes on the side. And, it also comes with blue collar linings and a blue Nike Air tag on the tongue. Plus, the blue ball-and-wings Air Jordans logo on the heels. Elsewhere, we’ve got the clean white leather contrasting base, tongues, and toe boxes. Finally, the last bits of color come from the muted grey ankle flaps and heel guards. But, the traditional cement print (signature feature on the Jordan 3s) does not make an appearance on these Js! However, you will notice that it dons the “Mocha” color-blocking scheme.
Finally, the Air Jordan 1 True Blue ends with a clean white midsole with Cement Grey rubber outsoles. It drops in full-family size on January 14th, 2023 for a retail of $180. It will drop on Nike SNKRS and select Nike retailers (check the list below!).Â
