The last quarter of the year has definitely proved to be a difficult one for the sneaker industry. We kinda blame Kanye for starting one of the biggest chain reactions in the industry’s history. First, Adidas terminates its partnership with Ye and halts the production of Adidas Yeezys forever. Then, Nike suspends Kyrie Irving right after and pulls the Kyrie 8s off the shelves. There’s the whole thing with StockX removing its “verified authentic” tags. And now, they’ve even blocked and canceled the sale of 2022’s Air Jordan 11 CHERRY.
So, here’s what happened. Back in September 2022, a bunch of thieves stole 800K worth of Nike sneakers and apparel. This was in Memphis, TN in an industrial area around Nike’s Memphis distribution center. They reportedly stole Nike products from over 20 trailers including our current Air Jordan 11 Cherry! Naturally, a ton of these cherry-colored Jordans popped up on the popular sneaker resale platform, StockX. And, as of September 28th, StockX has promptly canceled the orders.
ALSO, according to Chris Burns on Twitter, the sellers won’t get their money or the sneakers back. On the contrary, they will give them to the police or have them destroyed… OUCH. But, luckily, we still have the official release of the Air Jordan 11 Cherry to look forward to. And, for that, we can actually use a LEGAL sneaker bot to help us cop the entire stock in bulk. This year, we’re getting the Air Jordan 11 CHERRY colorway dropping this December! Every year, we have to get some kind of AJ11 – like the Concord, Bred, the Jubilee, and the Adapt. In 2022, they’re bringing back a (2001) familiar colorway in a mid-top version of the 11s!
So, this Jordan is one of Tinker Hatfield’s designs AND one of Micheal Jordan’s all-time favorite Js! The Jordans come with a ballistic white mesh base, white shoe laces, and clean white midsoles. And, of course, its entire CHERRY character comes from the contrasting Varsity Red patent leather mudguard. The Air Jordan 11 Cherry also comes with matching accents on the sock liner, heel tab, collar lining, and branding.
Finally, it ends at a milky, icy blue translucent rubber outsole. The Air Jordan 11 Cherry drops on December 10th for $225.
