Summer is almost over. But, we do have enough time to squeeze in yet another Jordan release for the Summer of 2022. And, what better than a Jordan that gives respect to a ‘99 classic? The upcoming Air Jordan 14 Ginger is here to honor the low-top Ginger of 1999!
This time around, the Jordan Brand is taking inspiration from a low-top Jordan and turning it into a mid-top. Michael Jordan wore the original 14s for the first time after his second NBA retirement. So, this was around 1998 – 1999. And, ever since that first debut, the 14s have had tons of different colorways. It was especially popular in 2021 featuring collaborations with CLOT and Aleali May. And now, Jordan is offering a fresh take with a historical twist!
Also, if you didn’t already know, the Jordan 14’s design inspiration comes from Michale Jordan’s Ferrari F355. JORDAN 14 GINGER
So, this makeup of the fourteenth signature Jordan shoe comes with a color scheme of Light Ginger – Black – White. It has a predominant Light Ginger nubuck upper with white premium leather toe tops. The kind of toe tops that are connected directly to the white midsoles. Also, one of its most interesting features happens to be the white rubber teeth embedded in the midsoles.
Elsewhere, we’ve got black tongues with all-black laces and a tiny black Jumpman at the base of the laces. And, these Jordans also come with black heels that extend all the way to the black rubber outsoles. However, we can’t forget about the most defining factor for these Js: the Ferrari-inspired Jumpman badge near the ankle. It is the Jumpman logo reworked to look like the Ferrari shield logo.
Finally, the sneaker design ends with a few additions to the Jordan Brand branding. We’ve got the Jumpman and the #23 motifs on the heels. And, a white Jumpman on the outsoles.
So, the women-exclusive Jordan 14 Ginger drops on August 17th, 2022 for $200. It will most likely drop on Nike SNKRS and select Air Jordan retailers.
