Hey there, sports fan! You’ve probably already heard since it’s all over the news, Boston Celtics forward, Jayson Tatum, just scored 51 points. In the game against the Charlotte Hornets, Micheal Jordan’s team, Tatum scored 51 points in a pair of unreleased Jordans. THAT shoe happens to be a low-cut Air Jordan 37. But, the sneaker of the matter is completely different! His very own signature Jayson Tatum Jordan, to be exact!
Not only did he make history by overtaking Larry Bird for the most 50-point games with the Celtics. But, he also made sneaker history amongst the many signature athletes with Jordan collaborations. This is the age of Air Jordan and NBA sneakers with more athletes joining the lineup, including: Luka Donic, Ja Morant, and Devin Booker. Michael Jordan may be the GOAT of basketball sneakers, but these hoop legends are here to carry the torch.
So, the Jayson Tatum Jordan journey began in the summer of 2019 when Tatum first signed with the Jordan Brand. And now that he’s earned a lot of buzz within NBA MVP circles, the release timing couldn’t be more perfect. The Jordan Tatum 1 drops this year in a variety of colorways we can NOT wait to get our hands on!

JAYSON TATUM JORDAN
So, the Jayson Tatum Jordan – aka, the Jordan Tatum 1 – will reportedly come in three different colorways. The colorways take inspiration from his son Deuce and a bunch of his most prized memories. We expected they’d definitely be related to things in the NBA and prime moments in his career. But, maybe not!
We’ve got the colorway Zoo arriving in Black, Metallic Gold, University Red, and Beach – his son’s favorite place to visit. Then, we have St. Louis – his birth city – coming in White, University Blue, and University Gold. Finally, there’s Pink Lemonade, obviously inspired by pink lemonades, coming in Pink Tint, Barely Volt, Lava Glow, and Aurora Green!
However, although we don’t have any official information, some leaked images gave us insight. The Jayson Tatum Jordan lineup will come with a mid-top design and mesh overlays with graphic heel panels. They will also take inspiration from a lot of Jayson’s own PE Jordan releases. But, the most eye-catching detail on these kicks has to be the hollowed-out midsoles. As for the sneaker technology, we’re still unsure. Sources do say however that we can expect to have Formula 23 cushioning in encapsulated TPU and foam soles. The Celtics forward alleged that the leaked images were “not exactly” what the Jordan Tatum 1 will look like. So, it might all just be a prototype image!
We don’t know EXACTLY when they’ll drop but sometime in the Summer of 2023. But, according to Sole Retrievers, the Jayson Tatum Jordan “Zoo” drops on April 7th, 2023. Also, one more thing to note would be the price point for the Jordan Tatum 1 which stands at $120 in men’s sizing. And, they will also drop in full family size: $90 (GS), $75 (PS), and $55 (TD).
