As the super brand of the year, New Balance is on a roll with multiple releases and collaborations. The NB 327 has represented the brand’s efforts to top the sneaker game with the Casablanca collaboration. And model 992 doesn’t fall far from the tree. The NB 992 WTAPS is reselling for $1,000 on average. And the NB 992 KITH sold recently on July 17 for $951 on StockX. We’re detecting a design chain. And it’s neither black nor white. 992 collaborative efforts are pausing on grey-oriented colorways. But it looks like the aftermarket is loving it. The upcoming JJJJound New Balance 992 collaboration is likely to bring that down to reality. Asks are currently at $2,290. And we’re waiting for the next move.

JJJJound Waiting to Be Found
Before we get into the collaboration we’re here for, let’s take a minute to understand JJJJound. It’s a minimalist brand founded not so long ago in 2006 with products ranging from apparel to home items. If you’re already familiar with the brand’s clean palette, you’ll be fascinated to learn that it presents itself as a “digital mood board.” How on-point is that?
If you’re wondering what the secret ingredient is behind the JJJJound team’s design recipes, it’s the “stream of consciousness.” Which is basically allowing the universe to flow within you. Without self-restraint. And making art out of it, in this case. In other words, it’s inspiration without a filter system. A natural feng shui of the creative mind.
Notice the contagious flow of their mood page. Ever heard of “veni vidi amavi”? It translates to “I came, I saw, I loved.” And other than the fact that it’s tattooed on probably a quarter of the world’s population, it communicates what this brand is here for.
JJJJound New Balance Is a Sneaker Revelation
The JJJJound New Balance collaboration focuses on the recurring grey 992 theme. And the JJJJound of it all is the subtle flow of color shades. Notice there are 6 different colors in harmony. The underlays and heel tab are earthy brown. The breathability structure is dark beige. The N logo, eyelets, and interior are black wood. And the dominant overlays are greyish brown. The creamy midsole and laces add light and balance to the sneaker. It’s a woodsy NB 992 interpretation. Almost wishing it drops in the Fall instead. But we don’t control where the flow takes us. So we’ll take what we get. And be happy with it.
