It’s about time! After more than 3 decades of waiting, Nike finally responds to its fans’ wishes! A response that will soon set the resale market on fire with 1985’s Jordan 1 Neutral Grey Retro. It seems like Jordan’s taking a leaf from Kanye’s Yeezy Natural with this one! Throughout the years, Air Jordan has always found a way to sweep us off our feet with its OG retros. However, the Neutral Grey pair remained an un-retroed rarity. They were one of those AJ classics that never got their tribute kicks. But, later this month, tables will turn for the third time.
Jordan 1 Neutral Grey Release
Yes, you heard us right. These Jordans are the third retroed kicks that mimic the real 1985 OGs. In 2020, we witnessed two OG Nike releases. The 85’s Varsity Red Retro and New Beginnings Pack. And this year, Nike will be adding the Jordan 1 Neutral Grey to the true-to-original remake family. We honestly love this retro initiative. We can finally cross the Greys off the wanted Retros list.
So, the new pair, originally known as the natural grey, sports the Hi 85 OG collar and color construction. It is basically made out of white premium leather and suede swoosh and collar. This white arrangement continues through the rubber midsole and nylon tongue. The retro concept also takes over the Jordan 1 Neutral Grey Packaging and hang-tag.

Did Nike Kill the Grey Hype?
Nike went on and off on the grey scheme through the past decades. And the Air Jordan team released multiple dope Grey iterations that made every one of us wish to own a pair. Which makes us question if Natural Grey has a chance on the hype list.
Last year, Air Jordan collaborated with Parisian Fashion brand Dior. Those two marked the modern history of the sneaker industry with the Air Dior. And this year’s presidential inauguration. That day, the whole world was focusing on the live stream. When suddenly .. A mysterious man stole sneaker addicts’ minds as he was spotted coming down the capitol stairs with the Diors on. And Twitter didn’t stop buzzing about them even after revealing the identity of the wearer! The AJ Dior kicks owned the spotlights with their white and grey leather upper and Dior print Swoosh.

So, will this Neutral Grey make it past that success? The answer is yes. And the reason is very simple. Old is gold. In other words, nothing beats the hype of the OGs. And this young man rocking the 1985 kicks in 2019 is a bold testimony.
The Truth About the Limited Release
Nike SNKRS revealed that the Jordan 1 Neutral Grey release will be limited to 23,000 pairs. And that each pair will feature its own numbered dustbag. However, the latest news denies the 23,000 number limit. Well, whether limited or not, nothing beats the fact that it’s the first time since 1985 that these kicks will hit shelves. But, as Jordan 1 Neutral Grey is undoubtedly on the list of 2021 must-haves of every sneaker fanatic, they won’t stay on the shelves for too long. And if you want them really bad, you probably should start checking the best bots and proxies to make sure you cop them. However, if you weren’t lucky enough to cop, Nike will be dropping a similar football grey dunk at a later date. And, more Air Jordan OGs along the year.
