Jordan 11 Gratitude DMP AIOBeing a sneakerhead in the 2000s was a whole different experience for real. Many amazing retros happened during that decade along with new colorways and collabs. However, one campaign sits on a different level in every sneakerhead’s heart, especially Jordan fans. You see, Jordan Brand was going all out with them releases, but it was the packs that stole the show. From the 11 Countdown packs to the DMP pack, Jordan Brand was on fire. These packs were such a success that when JB started bringing back the kicks individually, they sold out. Which brings us to the new Jordan 11 Gratitude! Shall we?

Jordan DMP 2011 AIO Bot

This pack certainly defined some moments in 2006 (see what we did there?) You see, DMP stands for Defining Moments Pack, and the name is pretty suitable. You see, this was the first pack that Jordan Brand dropped! That pack included two silhouettes that came in black and white and golden details. It was the Jordan 6 and Jordan 11. And if you know your championship Jordans, you’ll know that these two silhouettes are pretty important. Anyway, the pack retailed for $296, and it’s now worth around $870 on the aftermarket!

The Jordan 6 was MJ’s silhouette of choice when the Chicago Bulls snagged their first championship ring in 1991. This was one of three that gave the Bulls their three-peat. Now, in 1996, a year after Jordan’s retirement comeback, the Bulls won their fourth NBA ring. The sneakers MJ was wearing? None other than the Air Jordan 11. The 1996 was only the beginning though, because the Chicago Bulls went on and secured their SECOND three-peat in 1998! And now that you know that, the DMP choice of silhouettes kinda makes sense.

Jordan 11 Gratitude: We Grateful for These Amazing Kicks!

In 2020, Jordan Brand brought back one-half of the DMP pairs, the Jordan 6 DMP. The world was in quarantine, but the sneaker action was going down! Everyone wanted a pair of these babies, and well, it was the talk of Spring 2020. And well, it’s not too late to get a pair today because it’ll cost you about $240 in resale. That ain’t too much when you compare it to the sentimental value, eh?

Three years later, we’ll get the Jordan 11 half of the pack under a new name. The Jordan 11 Gratitude will feature the same white upper but replaces the mesh with leather. Meanwhile, the rest of the shoe remains faithful to the 2006 pair with the black patent leather and golden Jumpman. Again, Jordan Brand proves that it’s the king of giving the public what it wants… but not quite.
