The Jordan 12 PLAYOFFS Drop For A 2022 Winning Championship!

By January 7, 2022Jordan, Nike

Air Jordan 12 PLAYOFFS 2022 Release - AIO BotSo, we’re feeling very festive in 2022 and kinda wanna celebrate every moment in life! Including the 25th anniversary of the Air Jordan 12! And, to do that, we’re getting the Jordan 12 PLAYOFFS released for the first time since 2012.

This Jordan takes inspiration from Japan’s Rising Sun flag and 19th-century women’s high heels. Yes, women’s shoes. Although, you probably can’t really tell all that much by how it looks now. They used herringbone pods on the heels for better traction and had an exposed carbon fiber plate. And, we can’t forget about the full-length Zoom Air and its Phylon carrier!

Tinker Hatfield – AKA The Architect – designed the Jordan 12s back in 1996 for a retail price of $135. It is also the sneaker that Michael Jordan wore during Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals! If you don’t remember that, it’s “The Flu Game” where MJ played with full-on flu! It first dropped in five OG colorways, but the first retro dropped back in 2003. And, ever since then, we could have enough of the 12s! We’ve had retro collabs like the OVO collaborations and epic retakes of OG colorways like Royalty Taxi and  Flu Game! And now, we’ve got the 2022 Jordan 12 PLAYOFFS!

JORDAN 12 PLAYOFFS

The Air Jordan 12 PLAYOFFS featured black leather uppers with white overlays on the middle and the mudguard. Also, other colors include silver accents on the top two eyelets and the Jumpman branding on the sides. And, tongue features include the Varsity Red Jumpman logo with TWO3 stitching. It also has the Jordan tag down on the heel tab. However, the biggest feature of this release is the fact that it’s a low-top take of the OG PLAYOFFS!

Elsewhere, we’ve got the white Phylon midsole with a red number 23 on the heel outsoles. And, of course, it has the full-length Zoom Air setup and a carbon fiber plate. Finally, it finishes off at a herringbone outsole! Make sure you check out your Jordan 12 PLAYOFFS size in our Jordan size guide!

We’ve only seen this retro twice before – once in 2004, and once in 2012! So, we’re excited to see it make a comeback! The Jordan 12 PLAYOFFS has a set release for the NBA All-Star Weekend in 2022! We are absolutely obsessed with the colorway which is the good news. But, the bad news is, that piece of white overlay is definitely gonna need some loving. However, we got exactly the thing you need! Click here for a guide on how to properly clean Jordans!

WHERE TO BUY THE JORDAN 12 PLAYOFFS

If you aren’t a gigantic NBA historian and Jordan fan, you might not understand the magnitude behind this release. You see, the Jordan 12 PLAYOFFS was the sneaker behind the 72-10 ‘95-’96 season. The Chicago Bulls won 69 games that season! So, you can only imagine how BIG that is for everyone in the sneaker industry! Therefore, make sure that you’re ready to face the wave of OG NBA fans all over the world!

All you gotta do is blindside them with a sneaker bot. A good sneaker bot. It’s been 10 years since we’ve last seen these kicks. So, you better be sure it’s gonna be brutal! If you don’t already have a sneaker bot on hand, you better get one. The year 2022 ain’t joking.
