KANYE WEST SHOES RANKED
WORST TO BEST
#20 YEEZY CREPE SNEAKERS
First Release Date: 2018
Retail Price: $400 – $595
Average Resale Price: $152
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 0/10
First, we’re kickstarting our list of the best and worst Kanye West shoes with the YEEZY CREPE SNEAKERS. These were a part of the YEEZY Season 6 fashion show. It was a low top featuring thick snaggy suede crepe uppers and crepe soles. BUT, here’s the catch, it retailed for over $400! Literally nothing much to it! So, yeah. That’ll be a no from us!
#19 ADIDAS YEEZY POWERPHASE CALABASAS
First Release Date: 2017
Retail Price: $120
Average Resale Price: $150
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 0/10
Okay, to be fair and honest, the Yeezy POWERPHASE CALABASAS were not actually Kanye’s design. In other words, he didn’t really “design” them per se. It’s basically another Adidas Stan Smith with CALABASAS slapped on the side. It’s all a mess. We do not stan this.
#18 ADIDAS YEEZY KNIT RNR
First Release Date: 2021
Retail Price: $200
Average Resale Price: $515
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 1/10
So, the newest Yeezy KNIT RNRs are somewhat in a weird position on the list of Kanye West shoes. Let’s be honest. It’s ugly. Is it technically bad too? Yes. It barely had any teasers, marketing, backstory, or anything – how are we supposed to like it? Also, we also expect them to drop in every color of the rainbow next year. Plus, it has the same retail price as some of the 700s. So, what’s the deal about that?
But, of course, it still did sell out. No surprise.
#17 YEEZY QNTM
First Release Date: 2020
Retail Price: $250
Average Resale Price: $210
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 1/10
Next up, QNTMS! The Yeezy QNTMs were the first-ever Kanye West shoes made for performance basketball – which is interesting, to say the least. It had reflective heels and a weird all-in-all look to it. Also, it dropped in NBA All-Star Weekend 0f 2020 and delivered in huge SHERP vehicles! Now THAT’S what we call Yeezus marketing! It seems like this was a childhood dream for ‘Ye, and Brandon Ingram did end up wearing them on court!
But, that was basically it for the QNTMs. They are currently one of the cheapest Yeezys to buy. Kinda sad.
#16 ADIDAS YEEZY 500 HIGH
First Release Date: 2020
Retail Price: $220
Average Resale Price: $240
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 2/10
These Kanye West shoes are as puzzling as Kanye West himself. Like, we get what he was going for – trying to give us back some YZY boots! But, the Adidas Yeezy 500 High is NO YZY 950 and they are NO YZY 750. You can’t try to replace them ever. So, either restock them 750s or restock them 750s. No in-between.
Even with all the colorways that dropped – including Sumac & Tactile this year – the response isn’t as HIGH as you think. So, it’s clear what the people want ‘Ye. Bring back the 750s.
#15 ADIDAS YEEZY BOOST 380
First Release Date: 2019
Retail Price: $230
Average Resale Price: $240
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 2/10
These Kanye West shoes created quite the controversy when they first came out. You see, they were supposed to be the new Adidas Yeezy 350 V3! But, ultimately ended up as the Adidas Yeezy Boost 380. We think if they STAYED 350 V3s, they would have done a lot better. However, Kanye obviously has hopes. He keeps dropping more colorways!
#14 YEEZY 500
First Release Date: 2018
Retail Price: $200
Average Resale Price: $397
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 3/10
So, when these Kanye West shoes first dropped back in 2017, people were NOT happy. For starters, if you wanted to buy these 500s, you had to pay for the $760 clothes bundle. But, regardless, it was still a strange and interesting design with its suede and mesh uppers. Plus, the chunky trend was ALL the range – especially with the monochromatic Yeezy colorway! However, it’s not the easiest Yeezy to put on and maneuver life with!
#13 ADIDAS YEEZY 700 MNVN
First Release Date: 2020
Retail Price: $220
Average Resale Price: $270
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 3/10
The MNVNs (or minivans?) never sat right with anyone right from the beginning. For starters, it featured single-piece nylon uppers and “700” reflective branding. To be honest, it felt slightly… trashy? Unpopular opinion maybe! But, definitely not up to the level of the 700s!
#12 ADIDAS YEEZY 700 V2
First Release Date: 2018
Retail Price: $240 – $300
Average Resale Price: $430
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 4/10
So, here’s the thing. We don’t completely understand why Kanye went and made a V2 of the 700s. Heck, we don’t understand why he needed a V3. But, then again, who EVER understands what goes in the head of Kanye West? We’re not hating on the V2s. But, there’s not much more on the V2s in comparison to the V1s!
#11 YEEZY BOOST 750
First Release Date: 2015
Retail Price: $350
Average Resale Price: $1330
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 4/10
Do we have a personal vendetta on these Kanye West shoes? Yes, yes we do. And, we’re pretty sure about a hundred thousand other sneakerheads in the sneaker industry do too! You see, these are the legendary Yeezys! The Yeezys that rocked the entire industry with super exclusive releases and then VANISHED! It restocked in 2019’s Yeezy Day. But, that was the last time we ever laid eyes on these kicks.
#10 ADIDAS YEEZY 450
First Release Date: 2021
Retail Price: $200
Average Resale Price: $381
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 5/10
The 450s are the silhouette of the year 2021 with one of the most unconventional designs in the industry. Sock-like knit uppers and claw-like outsoles? That’s the part that no one really knows how they feel about the outsoles. So, we’ll leave that for you to decide. But, the 450s definitely prove that Kanye still has his creative juices flowing. And, we hope to see more of that soon.
#9 ADIDAS YEEZY 700 V3
First Release Date: 2019
Retail Price: $200
Average Resale Price: $350
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 5/10
The Yeezy 700 V2 had very tiny tweaks and touches to V1s. But, the Yeezy 700 V3 definitely made an obvious change in the making of the sneaker! However, the main difference was the neoprene glowy cage on the upper of the futuristic Yeezy. It even had a lower retail price than the V1s which is $200! A hundred dollars off? We’ll take it!
#8 LOUIS VUITTON DON
First Release Date: 2009
Retail Price: $870 – $960
Average Resale Price: $6200
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 6/10
If you thought that Virgil Abloh was the first person to create luxury sneakers with Louis Vuitton, you are wrong. Because you see, whatever the world does, Kanye does FIRST! But, in 2009, French fashion house, Louis Vuitton, and Kanye West collaborated to create the Louis Vuitton Don sneakers! Also, “Lous Vuitton Don” was also Kanye’s nickname. It was arguably one of the most coveted sneakers in the world with its five unique high-end colorways. But, it did retail for $960. The resale hurts so much more though.
#7 ADIDAS YEEZY FOAM RNNR
First Release Date: 2020
Retail Price: $75 – $80
Average Resale Price: $355
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 7/10
Yeezy Crocs, Yeezy Clogs, or YZY whatever! Call it what you want! But, the Yeezy Foam Runner is one of those Kanye West shoes you will never forget! Kanye obviously wanted to put more effort into sustainable sneakers with a partnership alongside Steven Smith. They made these kicks out of algae foam that Kanye grew on his farm in Wyoming. PLUS, it was manufactured in the U.S! Something Kanye has always wanted to do! They’re the slip-on sneakers that no one ever knew they needed!
#6 ADIDAS YEEZY BOOST 350
First Release Date: 2015
Retail Price: $200
Average Resale Price: $1080
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 8/10
The Yeezy Boost 350 is definitely not the first Adidas Yeezy to drop, but it most definitely is our favorite. This was around the same time that Kanye had “The Life of Pablo” project going on – midst of creativity. It was the prime time of the Turtle Doves – arguably one of the best colorways to date!
#5 NIKE AIR YEEZY I
First Release Date: 2009
Retail Price: $250
Average Resale Price: $4135
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 8/10
So, before Kanye worked with the Three Stripes, he had a brief partnership with the Swoosh! It was the sneaker that actually started the whole Yeezy legacy: the Nike Air Yeezy I. The Nike Air Yeezy I dropped in three different colorways in a big bulky design! In short, it was full of Yeezus energy and sneaker passion right from the start!
#4 LOUIS VUITTON JASPER
First Release Date: 2009
Retail Price: $1140
Average Resale Price: $11625
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 8/10
Next, another luxury moment for you! The pink sole of the Louis Vuitton x Kanye West Jasper is definitely not a sole to forget! It is a sneaker that was an immediate eye-catcher that SCREAMS luxury! Even the retail price screamed luxury at $1,140! But, looking at the resale market, a thousand dollars might not be too much of a price to pay.
#3 YEEZY 700
First Release Date: 2017
Retail Price: $300
Average Resale Price: $446
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 9/10
Okay, so a lot of people might argue that the Yeezy Boost 700 might be the best Kanye West shoes. But, we kinda do see their point and agree to a certain extent. If you’re talking about the OG Wave Runner, then we do agree 100% hands down the best shoes EVER. This model has everything from the material, to the build, to the layering! It started the entire dad-shoes trend and set it in motion! It gave us 90s vibes with everything we loved about that decade!
#2 ADIDAS YEEZY BOOST 350 V2
First Release Date: 2016
Retail Price: $220
Average Resale Price: $470
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 9/10
Now, onto what might be the most accessible and popular Yeezy of our time: the Yeezy 350 V2s. These were his second version of the sock sneaker in which he INSTILLED his promise of “Yeezys for All”. However, we are stating this fact begrudgingly. We get it, appreciate it, and respect it. But, come on man. You’re killing IT!
However, the best thing about them happens to be the HUGE array of 350 colorways. So, you can definitely start an entire Yeezy collection just by getting some 350s. Regardless of the oversaturation of the 350 market and messing with the supply/demand chain; we still love them.
#1 NIKE AIR YEEZY II
First Release Date: 2014
Retail Price: $250
Average Resale Price: $7691
Kanye West Shoes Rank: 10/10
Finally, our last of all the Kanye West shoes! The second and final sneaker that Kanye had worked on with the Swoosh – one of his best works to date. We’re talking about the Nike Air Yeezy II with the snakeskin side panels, hieroglyphic touches, and glow-in-the-dark Air Tech soles. It also dropped in three colorways with the INFAMOUS Red October.
This is the GRAIL, the GOAT, and the all-time unforgettable Yeezy!
