New Balance is the unshakeable brand of the year. COVID-19 hit along with a series of unfortunate events. From economic crises to manic unemployment rates and jeopardized supply chains, the brand found a new balance to survive the game. The pandemic’s ripple effect on all aspects of life impacted the sneaker industry with billion dollar losses and closed stores. China was the first country to take the blow and the US is presently among the top victims of the virus. And while other brands are deeply affected by the tariff war between the two countries, considering that 70% of US footwear is manufactured and imported from China, NB progressed.
New Balance VS World
New Balance is the ONLY footwear brand true to “Made in USA” and committed to domestic suppliers and manufacturing. Meaning, if you take a minute to step outside the American brand pool, you’ll realize that your feet are only truly American when wearing New Balance sneakers. Now, about the New Balance Basketball shoes. Is Nike VS Adidas still to-date, or is it about time to hit refresh? The brand battle has so far had two now-or-never moments. One, when Adidas Yeezy happened over Air Yeezy. And two, when the first-ever Yeezy basketball performance model dropped with the Yeezy Quantum. Are New Balance basketball shoes about to take a swing at out boxing the Jumpman?

New Balance Fulfills Its Name
The Idealists have welcomed summer 2020 with the NB 327 Casablanca. And countless model colorways have been dropping back-to-back. Can we get a 327?! But it’s not all colorways and games with the rising brand. The fact that the NB Levi’s collab featured super-limited denim shows purpose. NB has been putting its American roots into good use like never before in history. Check out its latest collaboration with Jaden Smith dropping on July 24 here!
New Balance Basketball Shoes
The NB OMN1S have been made visible by the brand’s endorser Kawhi Leonard. The Sundown Pack dropped in March under “the best player in the world wears New Balance.” And as basketball-equipped as Leo’s OMN1S are, NB is upping its technology this time to coincide with the resume of NBA 2019-20. The upcoming New Balance basketball shoes are the first OMN1 Lows in creation. FitWeave, Ultra Heel lock-in, and FuelCell technologies are incorporated in this model for optimal court performance. Berry Lime is the colorway of this first OMN1 model in honor of Darius Bazley, 20-year-old player for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Did you know he was born in Boston, Massachusetts same as NB? Making the brand 94 years older than Bazley!
In addition to the OMN1 Low Berry Lime, the colorway will also be seen on 997 and 850 models on the same day. Triple attack mic drop! Keep posted on our blog for price updates and hopefully some resale deets.
