It was all in all a pretty chill quarter – except for Kanye’s constant teasing! We can’t forget about the release of Kanye’s tenth studio album ‘DONDA’ at the beginning of September. Which dropped around the SAME TIME as Drake’s sixth studio album ‘Certified Lover Boy’. If you think that didn’t rekindle their ongoing beef, then you are very wrong! A little bit off the topic of sneaker reviews, we gotta breakdown this beef down a bit! Here’s a rundown:
– Drake release Certified Lover Boy one week after Kanye released DONDA
– Drake leaked Kanye’s song “Life of the Party”
– Ye shared a screenshot of a group chat with Pusha-T and supposedly Drake taking a shot at them
– Kanye posted (and later deleted) Drake’s home address in Toronto on Instagram
– Drake responds by posting a video of himself laughing it off
Q3 SNEAKER REVIEWS
So, in terms of the best releases of the Q3 sneaker recap, we had some pretty awesome releases. Yeezy Day on its own is responsible for a pretty big chunk of these epic releases. It was a pretty hectic day, and we can’t deny the resulting emotional scarring – kinda traumatic.
But, this doesn’t mean that the Swoosh was any less busy. Actually, to be honest, Nike has been upping its game all year round. The whole Adidas dethroning Nike has obviously not been working for the Three Stripes. Nike has had a fire quarter! Especially with the Jumpman!
