Upcoming Yeezy Boost 380: Why is the Sky Blue & What About Bloarf?

By April 2, 2020September 1st, 2022Adidas, Yeezy

YEEZY BOOST 380 FEATPreviously known as the Yeezy Boost 350 V3 and the next-in-line to the Yeezy Boost 350 V2, the Yeezy Boost 380 is relatively new. Adidas Yeezy is hyping the Yeezy 380 silhouette in 2020 with the recent releases of the Yeezy 380 Mist and the upcoming colorways: Sky Blue and Blue Oat, formerly known as Bloarf. Yeezy production seems to be maintaining trajectory in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak. And this silhouette will always seem to have an other-worldy vibe. For having initiated with Alien, selling for $1,320 when it first dropped! That’s over $1,000 in profit if you get lucky!

Yeezy Boost 380 Blue Oat

What About Bloarf?

BLOARF actually stands for BLUE (bl) – OAT (oa) – REFLECTIVE (rf). So basically, the whole name screams gastric cancer. And it was recently confirmed by Yeezy Mafia as “Blue Oat” instead, probably because it’s not an appropriate time to be promoting puke. But the actual reason behind changing the name could be that Yeezus will be releasing a reflective version ALONGSIDE this non-reflective version, as stated by Yeezy Mafia. And so Yeezy changed this version’s name to Blue Oat. Since the Reflective (rf) would be a sham scam. Keep posted to find out!

About the 380 Blue Oat!

The Yeezy Boost 380 Blue Oat was revealed @yeezyseason2 along with a mock-up of Yeezy releases to expect this year! And it’s displaying an interesting color blend. A brown/orange mashup upper and a perforated sky blue stream across the midfoot area represent the name. Kind of like an earth/holy water dichotomy. Along with a pale pink sock liner. And a neutral olive gum rubber outsole with full-length Boost technology to keep the planet’s essence together. This Yeezy will release in May 2020 at all family sizes at the following retail prices: $230 (adults), $170 (kids), and $150 (toddlers).

(6/27/20 update: Yeezy Blue Oat will release soon on July 25)
(6/6/20 update: Out of respect for communities, Yeezy Blue Oat is pushed back to July instead of June 20. Keep posted for release date updates!)
(5/29/20 update: According to Yeezy Mafia, the Yeezy Blue Oat will drop on June 20.)
(4/17/20 update: The Yeezy Boost 380 Blue Oat is expecting a June release instead of May.)

Yeezy Boost 380 Sky Blue

Why is the sky blue?

To answer our question, here’s a fun fact! Light from the sun looks white but is in fact made up of all the colors of the rainbow. The color blue refracts more easily than the other bunch of colors within these light rays. Which is why it is the color to scatter across the sky!

About the 380 Sky Blue!

This Yeezy 380 takes after its Alien predecessor and the Yeezy 350 Cloud White with its bright faded colorway. Now it’s Sky Blue for another reason. Lighter hues of beige and blue tint dominate the PrimeKnit upper while autumnal hues of dusty beige dominate the side streak and heel area. It finishes up with an icy gum rubber outsole. This Yeezy is rumored to release in summer 2020 and sources are even wondering if it’s the best Yeezy 380 colorway yet!
