The advent of fall/winter has brought the first season release of Yeezy Sneakers by Kanye West and the German athletic brand Adidas. The sneaker collection called Yeezy Season 1 was officially released October 29th 2015 for public sale at retailers and online. Prior to the October date, only a couple of the sneaker models had been marketed. The Yeezy Boost 750 — a high-top grey suede sneaker — was made available in February 2015 and sold out at lightning speeds.

In June 2015,  the black and white checkered  low-top sneaker style called the Yeezy Boost 350 was released.

In August, a black version of the Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers hit the stores and online sites. Known as Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black, the sneakers feature a black and grey checkered pattern with grey laces. All three sneaker types immediately sold out and have become collectables overnight.

On October 29th 2015, the much-anticipated Yeezy 950 (aka the duck boot) became available for purchase and rapidly sold out. Retailers saw long lines of buyers waiting to buy the boots and online retail sites crashed due to the excessive number of purchasers trying to buy a pair of the popular collectable footwear.

On November 14th 2015, a greenish grey colored Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers known as Moonrock also hit retailers around the world. The public first got a look at the Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers when they were worn by Kanye at James Haden’s birthday party on August 26th and at the VMAs on August 30th. The quick glimpses of the sneakers at both events quickly had sneaker collectors salivating in anticipation and helped to ensure that the desirable shoes would quickly sell out at record speeds. The Yeezy Moonrock sneakers have suede accents with a stretchy upper to make the shoes amazingly comfortable and easy to wear.

Also in November 2015, the Yeezy 350 Turtle Dove came up for sale. The grey and white sneakers feature a bright white eye-catching sole. Although not as widely publicized, the Yeezy 350 Turtle Dove sneakers also sold out rapidly.

All sneakers from the Yeezy Season 1 quickly liquidated around the world as collectors and fans bought the shoes at record-breaking speeds, but don’t despair because Yeezy Season 2 sneakers are on their way. It is believed that the Yeezy Season 2 sneaker collection will include a black/gum version of the Yeezy Boot 750 which has a semi-transparent sole. Three different types of Yeezy 950 duck boots are also on the horizon. The season is also believed to include Ultra Boosts. The boots for Season 2 will not be made by Adidas but by an Italian manufacturer.

His footwear has quickly become a cultural icon. It is one of the few sneaker footwear releases that crashed retail software and required mob control because of the surging crowds waiting to buy a pair of the iconic footwear. The sneakers also feature extraordinary resale value and are probably one of the most sought after sneakers in pop culture.
