Simply put, if a renter stops paying rent for the said storage unit, and the storage company can’t reach them in any way, the company might hold an auction to recover its losses.

So, how exactly do storage unit auctions work? Well, when a renter stops paying for their storage unit and the company can’t reach them, it might schedule an auction to clear out the entire unit. Such auctions usually take place after 30 to 90 days of missed payments.
And so, people get a quick look inside the unit, then the bidding process begins. And just like any regular auction, the highest bidders get the content of the storage unit– it’s all or nothing!

A TikTok account called LockerBlocker20 posted a video on August 7th, 2024. In the video, they showed off their treasure trove: a storage locker packed with all sorts of Knaye West-related items from the mid-2010s. These fans were able to get their hands on everything from music equipment and YZY clothing samples to sketches and even outfits from Ye’s 2015 at the Hollywood Bowl.
So, Kanye West’s storage unit seemed to contain a bunch of random, yet interesting, stuff. For example, the TikToker found a shirt in the stack that pretty much resembled the VULTURES merch designs that wouldn’t come out until years later.
One of Ye’s long-time collaborators jumped into the comments, asking if any of his gear was among the stash, saying: “Any Mike Dean cases there?” To which LockerBlocker20 replied, “No, only 2 cases are shown…” suggesting the possibility of even more hidden gems.

The thing is, we still don’t know who owned this storage locker before. However, judging by how personal the items are, soemone fro Kanye’s close circle probably owned them. Or who knows, it could even be Kanye West himself! But, where is Kanye in all this?
