Adidas Pharrell Background
Right After Kanye West signed with Adidas for a joint line of sneakers, “Adidas Pharrell” became a thing. And this partnership produced so many hyped sneakers among which is the latest Solar pack.
In fact, around the same period when Kanye with his Yeezys and Pharrell joined Adidas, many big names did as well. Yohji Yamamoto, Stella McCartney, and Raf Simons all partnered up with the Three Stripes Brand. It was at that time that Adidas decided to kick it up a notch and show Nike that it’s a dangerous competitor.
So besides from Kanye West’s Yeezys, Adidas Pharrell releases were always a hit. Especially when the sneakers utilized in this ongoing collaborative are the highly-coveted NMDs. From Day 1 with Adidas Pharrell wanted his sneakers to deliver a message. And so it was. Every Adidas Pharrell release shared some sort of a human value like equality, justice, liberty, and so on.
And recently, Pharrell was using his sneakers to pay tribute to great nations around the globe. So after his Human race pack, he dedicated 4 sneakers to India and then to China. Now all the eyes head to Africa to whom the next Pharrell and Adidas dedicate this Afro pack which you can now call Solar Pack.

Only 3 months after dropping the China-Exclusive pack, the powerful Adidas Pharrell Duo is firing once again. On August 18th, 2018, it will be time to celebrate African heritage with a culture-inspired pack of sneakers.
Every pair of this tribal-themed pack features the classic Trail silhouette we know and love. With the EVA Midsole inserts, caging, and rope laces. In addition to the Boost material in the midsole. But this time, Adidas and Pharrell have taken this to a more colorful and crazy level.
This tribal-themed pack features, for now, two colorways. One showcases grey and yellow uppers with a red outsole, while the other has more of aqua and grey uppers with an orange outsole. In addition to a third colorway showcasing pink on the uppers, with green, blue, and yellow covering different features of the shoe. All 3 NMD Hu colorways feature a white block covering the primeknit with the words “3MPOW3R”, “M1L3L3”, and “Moth3r” embroidered on the forefoot. Multicolor polka dots are at the ankle collar in addition to a silver heel tab holding the Adidas Originals logo.

News about the colorways dropping is quite misleading. Sometimes we’re seeing a yellow pair sometimes it’s red. Or maybe it’s color blindness kicking in!
The next version of Pharrell’s signature line With Adidas is releasing on August 18th, 2018. The new Afro NMD or Solar Pack will cost the standard $250 per pair. You can find them on Adidas’ website and at select retailers soon. Stay tuned for the early links and more release info as they emerge.
And just 2 weeks before, a Japan-Exclusive NMD will release on August 4th, 2018.
