Virgil Abloh’s partnership with Nike, needless to say, goes way back! This release takes us back to one of the biggest sneaker events in 2017, The Ten collection. It is where everything started, especially for the Nike Off White Blazer relationship.
Yeah, if you don’t know much about the 2017 collection, then you wouldn’t know that it included Nike Blazers. So, technically, this won’t be the actual first Off White Blazer. But, it will definitely be the first time that the Swoosh and Off White have taken on the Blazer Low.
Now, the Lows may be a little shorter in ankle height; but, they do pack a punch in sneaker design. Also, considering that it’ll be under Virgil’s creative influence, we can assume it will be nothing short of AWESOME. So, here’s everything we know about the new Nike x Off White Blazer Low coming this Summer!
Taking a Look at the NEW Off White Blazer
So, the Nike Off White Blazer Low collection is supposed to come in two colorways. A White/University Red colorways, and another one in black. We don’t have any new information on the White/University Red colorways; BUT, we got some dirt on the black.
The black features supple black leather with black suede mudguards. We’ve also got some black suede on the toe caps. Other qualities include the translucent TPE circles on the toebox, midfoot, and heel. This sneaker gives you the option of creating your own custom style by cutting out the circles with a razor blade.
Of course, the first thing you’ll notice is on the Nike Off White Blazer is the vibrant green laces across the uppers. PLUS, the signature black zip tie and Helvetica text branding on the shoelaces and midfoot. It also features co-branded tags on the top half of the exposed foam tongues.
The greatest alteration to this Blazer is the reworked sole. Although the midsole seems pretty normal, it goes completely berzerk at the heel. We got two parts of cushioning with a vibrant green shape and small circular details. Kinda like the Nike ACG’s Terra Humara! The final piece of detailing is the hints of blue and gold speckles on the cushioning system.
Currently, all that we know about the release of the Off White Blazer Low is that it drops around the end of Summer 2021. Seems like a long way to go, right? But, the year’s already more than halfway over! So, before you know it, you’ll be putting up your Christmas lights in no time.
Either way we’ll keep you posted on any new leaks, updates, or changes regarding this release. We know we’re all excited to see what Virgil can do with a Low Blazer! So, make sure you keep it locked on our blog for more information on the Nike Off White Blazer Low.
In the meantime, you can try your luck at copping the newest Billie Eilish shoes or maybe even Drake’s Air Force 1! This definitely is a year for some epic Nike collaborations. You literally have too many options to pick from!
