After we witnessed the Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow kick off Yeezy Season, the time has come for the next big release. With the release date set to two weeks later, on June 30th, 2018, the Adidas Yeezy Butter, we just can’t wait to see how things go then.

We’ve known that a Yeezy release is set in June, since January, however, we weren’t sure which Yeezys they were. Neither was the Yeezy Mafia sure of the release date or even the shoe’s right name back then. But now- 3 names later -we know that the Yeezy Butter is the pair dropping in June.
The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Butter features the same adored and cherished silhouette of all V2s. This time, the PrimeKnit is ditching the zebra-striped pattern worn by the last 3 V2s we’ve seen, the Semi Frozen Yellow, Belugas, and Blue Tints. Rather, the Yeezy 350s V2 Butter will come with plain pale yellow -almost neon looking- uppers over matching soles, caging the Boost material. Moreover, the retail price expected for this pair is $220.
Now what’s more controversial than the name of these sneakers, which changed many times before Butter, is its estimated resale value.
Stock level Vs. Resale Value
After waiting months for a new V2 to drop, you’d expect a low stock level to raise the hype. But apparently, that’s not the case here. Right after they got their Twitter account back, the Yeezy Mafia revealed that the stock level of the Butters will be surprisingly high. In fact, they clarified that the stock level was initially low and went up later on. This, by the rules of supply and demand, usually means a lower resale value.
But you can never tell when it comes to Yeezys. Especially since the Yeezy Butter will have a much lower stock level than the Cream Whites dropping in July. Millions of pairs of the Cream Whites are reportedly dropping. That fact could increase the demand for the Butters, considering they’ll be limited compared to the Whites.
That is unless the same thing that happened with the Semi Frozen Yellow happens again this June with the Butters. Rather than maintaining a high resale value (due to exclusivity), the prices of the Yebras went so low once the high stock level of the Belugas was revealed.
This might show that Yeezys are being purchased for their name and model, and so people could flex that they’re wearing Yeezys, but not for their specific colorways. And this will result in one release having a major impact on other, supposedly more hyped, Yeezy releases.
Was low then it went up 😩😩 https://t.co/Oao2eszPh4

Reading between the lines
What many people have read but probably didn’t pay so much attention to was the following:
To clarify, Butter is not Ice Yellow pic.twitter.com/9Rq0hurU6z

When posted about the Butter, the Yeezy Mafia specifically said replacing the Peanut Butter. They also went above and beyond to make a distinction between the Butter and Ice Yellow. So why would they emphasize this matter so much? Is it possible that the Ice Yellow is still a contender and may drop later on?
We will figure that out with time, but for now, let us all enjoy the release of this precious Yeezy.
So, are you copping the Yeezy Butter? Or are you waiting for a different Yeezy release to cop this season?
Adidas Yeezy Butter
Release Date: June 30th, 2018
Style Code: F36980
Retail Price: $220
And again the Adidas Yeezy Butter made another appearance during the long crazy Yeezy Deadstock day. Currently, the Butter Yeezy 350 V2 is reselling for just over $250. This is very cheap compared to 2019 Yeezy resale prices, and this makes it one of the most affordable legit Yeezys you can buy at resale.
