The 5 Most Coveted Nike Patta Sneaker Collaborations of All Time!

By March 30, 2024Food for thought, Nike

Best Nike Patta Collabs - AIO BotCatching the attention of the Swoosh only two years after its operation, Patta joined forces with Nike on the drop of their first collab: Patta x Nike Air Max 90 Homegrown, in 2006. And it only went up for the duo ever since then! 18 years in and the collab is still going as strong as ever. So, why don’t we go through the best Nike Patta collaborations to ever release, shall we?

What is Patta?

Patta, slang for ‘shoe,’ is a popular Dutch streetwear brand that was launched in 2004 by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt. This happened after the founders noticed a gap in the Amsterdam market. Problem was the following: though sneakers were being sold all around the world, they weren’t as available in stores in Amsterdam as they were in other major cities.

So, basically, Amsterdam locals had to buy online or travel to other villages in order to catch new sneaker releases. And so, what started as an attempt to help sneakerheads catch the latest sneaker drops, turned into the launch of a successful sneaker line. Now, Patta prides itself on being part of epic collaborations, such as their collabs with Reebok, Asics, KangaROOS, and most importantly, Nike!

Best Nike Patta Collaborations

Patta x Parra x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Cherrywood’

Starting off, our top Nike Patta collab included a third party: Parra. The funny thing here is that Parra has been confused with Patta more times than one could ever count. So, their collaboration must’ve made the image clear for some people. Another fact is that Parra designed the original Patta logo, and the relationship between the two brands is a strong one.

Now, back to the Nike Patta Parra Air Max 1- AKA one of the most iconic sneakers out there. Its premium quality and unique details make it stand out among any Air Max out there. This Cherrywood Nike AM1 started circulating in 2009. But with no official details, this pair seemed mythical or an F&F at some point. To hypebeasts surprise, Nike launched this Air Max 1 in 2010, but in extremely limited quantities. Too bad for them hypebeasts, that was two years before sneaker bots came to life

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Purple Denim’

Next, we’ve got the Nike Patta Air Max 1 Purple Denim. In celebration of Patta’s fifth anniversary, this Air Max 1 dropped along with another hot Nike Patta sneaker: Air Max 1 Chlorophyll. It featured a similar color-blocking to Tinker Hatfield’s OG Air Max 1 from 1987.

So, this release featured ultra-premium denim to give off a vintage look. And just like the Cherrywood pair, it dropped in extremely limited numbers. Which explains the kidney they’re worth now.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 5th Anniversary ‘Chlorophyll’

Third on the list of best Nike Patta collab, we have the Chlorophyll Air Max 1. Again, it released in celebration of the fifth anniversary of Patta’s Amsterdam store. It featured similar color-blocking to the Purple Denub iteration. But the purple denim overlays have been replaced with green suede.

They say, you never know what you got until it’s gone. This can be said about this drop. Sneaker enthusiasts showed no appreciation for it at first, but they for sure regretted not snatching it off the rack at retail the first chance they got. Because $1,686 is the average price they can buy at now!

NB: Rumor has it a Nike Air Max 1 Chlorophyll 2.0 might just be in the works for 2024! (Refer to the guide below to learn how to catch it AT RETAIL!)

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 5th Anniversary ‘Denim’

At this point, it’s safe to say that the best Nike Patta collabs can be attributed to the 5th-anniversary drop in 2009. But while the above-mentioned Air Max 1s stayed true to the 1987 OG design, this Denim drop introduced a new look.

This pair featured a mix of premium materials, from denim to suede, and nubuck. Also, it took on a darker colorway:Dark Obsidian, Green, Concord, and Red. In addition, Nike played the generosity card and dropped these babies in acceptable numbers, making them the most accessible Nike Pattas at that time.

Patta x Nike Air Force 1 Low Bespoke ‘Patta World Tour’

Ending the list on a high note, we have a NOT Air Max drop making it to the list of the best Nike Ptta collabs of all time. It’s also relatively new compared to the other 4 collabs. The Patta x Nike Air Force 1 Low Bespoke dropped in 2017.

This Patta x Nike Air Force 1 collab was exclusive to Asia and only 80 pairs dropped! Featuring hand-woven canvas, this AF1 retailed at a whopping price of $800! It also dropped in a special edition box, along with a velvet bag, and is now considered one of the rarest sneakers!
